RemediesAR Finalist for State of São Paulo Grant

The RemediesAR project was recently selected as a finalist for a grant from the State of São Paulo’s Secretary of Culture, Economy and Creative Industries. The granting program supports projects that have mixed-reality content. The Instituto Tebas de Educação e Cultura, whose director, Abilio Ferreira, is part of the RemediesAR collective, was the lead organization on the grant. The Instituto Tebas has been selected for two other PROAC grants to support their outstanding work, including with the União de Amigos da Capela dos Aflitos (another partner organization on the RemediesAR).

While selected for funding, the RemediesAR collective chose to withdraw before accepting funds because PROAC limits one organization from carrying more than two grants at a time. The Instituto Tebas and União de Amigos da Capela dos Aflitos will continue to support work proposed in the PROAC grant in this current prototyping phase of the project.
